## The story behind the lights

The show opened with Franchise Freedom, the starling-flock performance that started the drone light show as an art form, moving over the beach and reacting to the crowd. Then a wolf rose over Copacabana, and two million people howled at the full moon together. The finale turned the fleet into a screen: Shakira's eyes, opening over the audience just before she walked on stage.

A Studio DRIFT performance. Drones by our local partner Flyworks. Creative direction by Ralph Nauta, Lonneke Gordijn and Lucas van Oostrum. A beach with two million people, a live broadcast, and one take.
