What we collect, and why

Contact and proposal forms. When you write to us, we receive the details you fill in (name, company, email address, phone number, and what you tell us about your event). We use them to answer you and to prepare a proposal. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you news about our shows. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter or emailing us. Legal basis: your consent.

Technical data. Our hosting provider records web-server access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are not used to profile you.

Where it goes

Form submissions are emailed to our team and stored in a database in our own cloud account, so we can follow up and learn which kinds of events people ask us about. Both run on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Stockholm region); the website itself is delivered by a content delivery network with servers worldwide.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Service providers that process data for us (email delivery, hosting) act on our instructions only.

Cookies, analytics and embedded content

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services. Videos on our show pages are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode: nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and proposals: for as long as needed to handle your request and, if we work together, for the duration of the project and the legal retention period for business records (seven years in the Netherlands). Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe. Access logs: at most 400 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent for the newsletter. Email info [at] dronestories.com and we will respond within a month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Form data travels encrypted, is stored encrypted at rest, and is accessible only to the Drone Stories team.

Changes

If we change how this website handles data, we will update this page. Last revised when the site was rebuilt without cookies or analytics.
