A first for El Salvador
On 7 September 2021, the day bitcoin became legal tender in El Salvador, 150 drones flew over the beach at La Libertad. It was the first drone show ever flown in El Salvador. We made it for the Bitcoin Foundation, with our Mexican partner SkyLights.
No drone show had flown in El Salvador before. We designed the 10-minute show and flew it with SkyLights, whose pilots are certified by the Mexican aviation authorities. The test flight was the night before the show.
The event was hosted by Brock Pierce on the Pacific coast of El Salvador. La Nación and La Opinión covered it.
